Escape from the ice to the summer heat of New Zealand. Why I haven't moved here yet I'm not quite sure....
I spent a couple of weeks in Glenorchy, a little village north of Queenstown for some paragliding and some "tramping" with an old buddy I worked with in Chamonix years ago. What an amazing spot. Lots of great walks go from here including the Rees Dart, Routeburn, Greenstone among others. And the flying - well, the pictures should speak for themselves...

After some time in the mountains it was time to hit the beach and the water in a Sea Kayak along the beautiful coast of Abel Tasman National Park. Liz, an old friend who emmigrated to Sydney a few years back, flew over for an epic long weekend.
I love New Zealand to bits. Note to self - have a look at the immigration site..... And next - flying to Africa tomorrow for a three week overland expedition through Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi and Tanzania...... Watch this space for some wildlife photos!
