Off to Greenland

Yes, back to cold places once again. Heading off to Greenland to work on the ice cap with a British Antarctic Scientist for 4 weeks today. 80 Degrees North, -25 Degrees C and nothing but white and blue (when the weather's nice!) Fantastic. Should look a little something like this!!

Scallop Sculpture

The 12ft-high scallop shell memorial to Benjamin Britten by Maggi Hambling on the beach at Aldeburgh, Suffolk. The inscription "I hear those voices that will not be drowned" is from his best known opera, "Peter Grimes."

British seaside at it's best!

Wedstock!

When Jo Coldron and Dan Smale met at Rothera Research Station in the Antarctic during Christmas 2004 they hit it off straight away. After 18 months living together in the cold place they decided to tie the knot. They got married in a field on the last weekend of May in deepest darkest Cornwall in a weekend of music, dancing, camping and lots of fun!

A few shots from the big weekend...
